The Golf Gods
Rebelling Against The Velvet Ropes
Traditional tournaments are often stiff, quiet, and burdened by arbitrary gatekeeping. De Facto Golf flipped that script. We wanted a tournament where handicaps take a back seat to sheer audacity, camaraderie, and clutch shot-making.
With identical prize structures for men and women (adjusted by fair yardage: 166 yards for guys, 136 yards for gals), Stableford scoring that rewards aggression, and mid-round twists that challenge even seasoned players, the Chaos Cup is the premiere disruptor in Texas golf.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many teams can enter?
Strictly 36 teams. Once the grid is full, registration closes — no waitlist, no exceptions. Early registration is your only safety net.
What's the format exactly?
A 3-person scramble with Stableford scoring and chaotic rule twists dropped mid-round. You earn points for aggressive, low scores — not for playing it safe.
Are the prizes really the same for men and women?
Yes. Same prizes, different yardage. Guys play from 166 yards, gals from 136. Every hole-in-one prize — including the Lincoln Aviator and the $10,000 shopping spree — is for men AND women.
How many players on a team?
Three. Grab your two most chaotic, clutch golfing friends and lock your squad in before the 36-team cap hits.
What's the Best Team Name award?
A special trophy goes to the team with the most gloriously unhinged name. Creativity counts as much as your short game.
Is there food and drink at the venue?
Harlingen Country Club hosts the full experience — on-course hospitality, the awards celebration, and Ancestral Craft Spirits pouring the post-round chaos.
